Healing Prayer Ministry takes place in St. Mary’s Lowe House following the 11.00 a.m. Mass on the 4th Sunday of the month when people can come into the memorial chapel and team members will pray with them. Healing prayer can be for physical, emotional, psychological, mental health and spiritual issues, or just because we all need it in some way – Jesus wants to heal!
There is also a Holy Hour on the first Friday of each month at 7.00 p.m. in the main church. This is centred around adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and the Word of God. The opportunity for healing prayer takes place when those present are invited to approach Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament and touch the humeral veil held around the Monstrance, imitating the woman with the haemorrhage in the Gospel story who touched the hem of Jesus’ cloak and was healed. The Sacrament of Reconciliation is usually available, together with healing prayer if required and finishing with a Eucharistic Service.
You do not need to be Catholic and Jesus welcomes anyone, whatever our situation in life. A list of dates is attached but please do also check the current newsletter for any changes.
Further enquiries can be made via the Deacon at St. Mary’s.
